Magnified is a project started by Ana Citlali Ulloa, an undergraduate student hoping to bring awareness to the deeply rooted social issues that exist in our country and affect our communities daily. This project hopes to educate and create understanding for readers to truly understand the gravity of this issue. Understanding is the first step toward making change, and the best way to learn about something is to learn from individuals with firsthand experience. As the world continues to evolve, so must our institutional systems so they can best serve our needs and their intended purposes. No individual deserves to be treated inhumanely, and so, Magnified hopes to bring justice to those who deserve better by exposing the reality faced by too many as a consequence of the Prison Industrial Complex.
